The South Florida Ukulele Fest 2014 is bringing some of the best ukulele performers in North America for two days of musical performances, ukulele skills workshops, food, ukulele shopping and fun celebrating all things ukulele in South Florida. On Friday, March 28th at 7:00 p.m., the South Florida Ukulele Fest 2014 kicks off with a ukulele jam at ArtServe, 1350 East Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale at Holiday Park which will feature members of the Florida Ukulele Network jamming not only with ukulele enthusiasts from around Florida attending the festival, but also with the world famous ukulele artists featured at our 2014 festival. On Saturday, March 29th at 10 a.m. the South Florida Ukulele Fest 2014 continues with a full day of music, ukulele skills workshops, shopping, ukulele raffles, hula demonstrations and a variety of family activities all day at ArtServe. Throughout the day, ukulele enthusiasts who wish to polish their musical skills can participate in their choice of four ukulele skills workshops taught by festival artists and offered for every skill level from beginners to experienced players in a variety of ukulele genres including blues, jazz, rock and more. Workshop seating is limited and requires a workshop ticket purchased as part of the festival pass or as an individual workshop ticket at $35. At 7 p.m. an All Star Festival Concert featuring performances by famous North American ukulele artists including The Barnkickers –Steve Boisen and Amanda Lynn, Sarah Maisel & Craig Chee, Manitoba Hal, as well as local favorites Pacific Rhythms with their spectacular Hawaiian music performance.
